We wish Campino, Clayton, Coquin, Corleone, Coulthard, Charmed, Ciccione "Fabi" Cinnabar, Clarice Starling and Crazy-Baby all the best!

And for Ciccione "Fabi", who is going to have the character test on Saturday, fingers are tightly crossed.

Since many years the dog journal DAS DEUTSCHE HUNDEMAGAZIN (the German Dog Magazine) is available! In nearly every edition there are photos from my dogs! No wonder, the reporters of that journal have already often been here to take wonderful pictures of my dogs!

But in the last edition 4/2004 on page 47, I had to swallow a bit .......... and I had tears in my eyes: My wonderful Gentille with her Y babies smiled at me!

OUR URMEL EXPECTS BABIES

1000 greatings to Dad CH. Aermel "Pankow" aus dem Norden !!!!

On March 4, 2004, we have been for ultrasounds and have seen the babies! I did not even want to believe it anymore ...... but of course I had hoped!!! During the night before the ultrasounds I could not even sleep! In the morning I felt really bad because I was scrared that Urmel could be empty!

At the vet I was so very nervous, it was really incredible!! But then I saw the babies and I could nearly not believe it! Urmel is my last Mirage daughter, which is still available for breeding and now we are going to have grandchildren from my wonderful Mirage! I just stood there and tears came running down my face. Even the vet had some tears in her eyes because I was so very happy!

Now of course we are taking good care of the Mommy to be!

On carnival Sunday our Hannibal Lector with Sabine and Ludwig have viseted us completely unexpected! Of course we were thrilled! I had to take a picture of sweet Hannibal immediately!

We spent a real nice afternoon together and Buzzele found that Hannibal is just irresistible and tolled around with him all the time! That way also the dogs had lots of fun!

After rain there also comes sunshine ..................

Lots of people have been wondering why there were no news for some time! There was quite much going on here, we have been renovating and there are some great surprises:

1. Gerda has been at the ultrasounds with Aloazabou "Zabou" and there they have seen "something". It will certainly be not a big litter but we look forward to the small ones with excitement! And the greatest thing: all puppies have found already new homes, no matter how big the litter is!

2. Then Urmel came into season ...................... ! Since she was empty last time we decided to have checks before the next mating! And who would be the best for me? Yes, our Silke. I got Urmel into the car and then we drove to Silke and Martin. First Silke checked Urmel and then we went to Hannover. There Urmel was checked again! Urmel is absolutely healthy and everything is ok! And it was great that Urmel and myself could spend half a day in the lecture hall with Prof. Dr. Günzel-Apel! I have learned lots of new things and it was really very interesting!

Urmel and I spent some nice days with Silke and Martin and had lots of fun. Lots of thanks to Silke and Martin for the wonderful time - it was like a short vacation!

Then time had come for Urmel and I drove with her to Hamburg! There Aermel "Pankow" aus dem Norden lives with Katja and Frank! As I was rather thrilled from the puppies out of Pankow with our Fuzzy, naturally especially from our small Imagine "Buzzele", I wanted to have him also for our Urmel !

(I had also thought about Armagedon, but I had made the very narrow combination with Yustin and Xcalibur and Lumiére's HD has been - as I believe - the "receipt" for it! Therefore I did not want such a close breeding again!)

Having reached Hamburg we felt immediately at home. Katja and Frank have made it so very comfortable for us and we spent a very nice time there (Katja can cook ..... unbelievable delicious - I have copied lots of recipes). On one evening there was round of regulars of LG North and I was also invited, and we spent a gorgeous evening!

Then I was with, the daughter from Katja and Frank shopping, have turned to be friend with Emma (a Tinker) and fell in love with Shiti and Tuete (the tom cats of both of them). Tuete has slept in my bed with me - and that .......... with Urmel !!! Naturally it turned to be rather late each evening till we went to bed, we have been sitting together and there was so much to talk about ................... !

And the most important: Urmel has been mated from Pankow ........... 5 days long .......... every day!!! Both of them have been so much in love! I could not get a nice photo! But that did not bother me at all!

Now it means thumbs crossing that thinks worked and that we are going to have babies!

Well, and then Urmel and I had to drive back home. Although I was really looking forward to be back home, saying good-bye was very hard for me. We have really felt at home with Katja and Frank. 1000 Thanks to both of you for the wonderful time and warm regards to Inki, who gave me her bed and her room for my time with you.

Driving home was not so great: Three snow blizzards (of course with summer tires), two traffic jams, two deers which crossed the street right in front of my car and once standing crosswise on the highway! But at least luckily we turned home safe and sound!

There was waiting another suprise for me! Uwe and Karin Vette had sent a big parcel to me! They had ordered a painted picture of Xitus for me! As a Thank you for the loving care when breeding Luna and because they could call me at any time when they needed help! Dear Uwe, Dear Karin, lots of thanks for this gorgeous picture. I have been very thrilled! I will put it on the wall soon and honor it! And because it it so great I have made a photo of it immediately:

Now I really hope that soon there will be great news again ......... when we have been at the ultrasounds with Urmel !!!

News are not ending here ..................

........ but this time it's finally good !!!

From Dec. 30 to Dec. 31/2003 our Armageon bred the beautiful girl Aloazabou "Zabou" du Noble Nid.

When Gerda some time ago visited us with - among others - Zabou, I did not know that not only Zabou had fallen in love with our Armagedon, but also Gerda. When Gerda called and said she would come with this sweetheart for breeding her we were rather happy although we just went through this very bad time. What kind of a gorgeous girl Zabou is, you can see in Zabou's new homepage: AloaZabou du Noble Nid

Armagedon was thrilled over and over! Both of them played and cuddled so very much before each of the matings! (Armagedon still dreams about her). This was a marriage out of love. I very happy especially because Zabou comes out of a successful and well known kennel and because Gerda and her dogs have a great name in all of Europe. The congratulations from Pascale Maes, Zabou's breeder, were extremely kind and all the loving entries in Zabou's guestbook! So many people wish us luck for this breeding!

This loving couple searched for the funniest places for the matings. But the best "attraction" was the tiny "mating witness"! We nearly killed ourselves laughing .............!

Now we hope from the deepness of our hearts that there will be many beautiful little Zabou and Armagedon babies! (They are even allowed to be cropped!)

Big congratulation to Petra and Thomas, Sonja, Jana and of course our Yules Verne "Cyrano" for that candy sweet mouse.. Cyrano is totally thrilled and takes really care of her. With such photos I always know what kind of wonderful dogs I have.

My marvelous Shag,

You were a dreamlike and absolutely beautiful dog with an unbelievable loving character. Your walk - inherited from Dad Mirage - was indescribable. You have been a multiple Champion, and we have always been so proud that we have bred such a dog. But you have been much more for me: You have always been "my Baby", even when you had been grown up for a long time, and you have been my friend. You have been here with me when we had to let your dad Mirage go to the Rainbow Bridge and then you have been lying on my lap for hours to comfort me. For Silke and Martin you have always been the very best friend and the most loyal companion. They have - like me - loved you infinitely!
When you turned to be so very sick some months ago, Silke did everything to help you. She even went to lots of her colleagues and tried everything. In that time we were rather frightened out of our mind about you. But every now and then you felt a bit better. Sometimes we thought that you took great touble over us, your family. But in the end your lost your strength and we had to let you go ……………!

Shag, it hurts so much …….! With Silke and Martin (to whom I am grateful out of the deepness of my heart that they have been such a great family for you) we mourn for one of the most valuable dogs ever. Give our regards to your Dad Mirage and Mom July ……….! Gentille for sure will expect you on the Rainbow Bridge ........... and we, too, will meet again!
We shall never forget you!

The stroy about Shag and Gentille will in some time be in the pages of the Rainbow Bridge. At the time when Silke and myself have got over the worst pain!

In his place we want to thank our friends for the many words for comfort concerning the death of our unique Gentille. This has helped us much in the past days and has provided us with warmth.

Gentille is the mother of many beautiful Briards out of our breeding program. Especially some of her daughters cannot deny their mother. Out of friendship we have given a "small Gentille" out of the last litter with Merlin to friends. At that time we thought it was like that. We have celebrated may festivities together, like Christmas, New Year's Eve and Easter, and we thought there was real friendship carried by respect for each other and help among each other. But World is in a floating process and things change.
This friendship (or was it illusion?) has been cancelled from the side of the owners. An explanation for this change has not ever been made. After that disappointment we now think: "The one who does not want has it already". Therefore, it is rather strange for us to now find an obituary on Gentille in those people's homepage. In the meantime we doubt that they ever could have had an emotional and deep relationship to Gentille. On the occasion of the CAC show in Mertingen Gentille has been ignored and has not been greeted, being a good friend with a common past.

Still, or precisely therefore, we wish the "small Gentille" all the best for her second litter. Our dogs are a stake and we wish them a long, healthy, briardly and fulfilled life. Unfortunately too often the dogs have to take the responsibility for some of our failings.

Therefore, we wish all - and this is what we consider for ourselves more and more:
Search for your deficiency, recognize it and try to correct and finish it! Only who is able to do that will find luck and true friendship!

We do hope that the experience of the past days have been a lesson for these "special friends", and that they refrain from using an obituary on Ialor as a stopgap in their homepage.

There are also some good news, but they will be announced in a couple of days.
